EPiCS Partners Meet in Stockholm to Advance the Project’s Next Milestones
In June, EPiCS partners gathered in Stockholm, Sweden, for the project's third transnational meeting, bringing together consortium members to review progress, strengthen collaboration, and plan the next phases of the project.
Partners shared updates across the different work packages and focused on the development of two of EPiCS' key outputs: the EPiCS MOOC and the Open Arena digital platform.
The meeting provided an opportunity to review the progress of the MOOC, which will equip students, educators, and community stakeholders with knowledge and practical tools on citizen science, research service-learning, and community engagement. Partners discussed the structure and content of the learning modules, ensuring coherence across the programme and alignment with the project's educational objectives.
Another major focus was the continued development of the Open Arena, an online collaborative space designed to connect researchers, educators, students, non-profit organisations, and community members. Discussions explored how the platform can foster knowledge exchange, collaboration, and the sharing of participatory practices across Europe.
Beyond project outputs, the meeting also strengthened collaboration among consortium partners through strategic planning sessions, knowledge exchange, and discussions on upcoming activities, dissemination, and implementation. These face-to-face meetings remain essential for aligning priorities, sharing expertise, and ensuring the successful delivery of the project's objectives.
As EPiCS moves into its next phase, the consortium looks forward to continuing the development of its educational resources and digital tools, supporting more participatory, inclusive, and community-oriented approaches to higher education across Europe.
